01 / A SMALL IDEA, MANY POSSIBILITIES
Start with a rhythm.
See where it could go.
Paint a two-bar pattern. Make suggestions, listen, then choose what to keep.
Your Original stays yours. Suggestions are separate, editable copies.
Two-bar rhythm
Original · Your pattern
Swing shifts alternate sixteenths. Existing timing detail stays intact.
Local AI loads only when you ask. No rhythm leaves this computer.
Choose A or B to generate. Use + for another possibility.
02 / KEEP WHAT YOU LIKE
Try it in the arrangement
Insert makes a two-bar copy. Paint to repeat it; erase to make space.
Original synth sounds, note patterns and local audio can sit together here. Miniatures show drum hits, strength and timing. Editing a draft leaves inserted copies unchanged.
Ready. Playback runs once and stops automatically.
About this experiment
This is a separate test build. Its AI uses Magenta’s tap2drum_2bar model, running on this computer. The model reads the timing of your hits as a tap pattern and suggests instrumentation, velocity and timing. It may change or omit a tap. A stays nearer the encoded input; B and the + possibilities explore farther. Finer grids keep their exact notes here; the model accepts one tap per sixteenth, so nearby taps merge for AI input only. Those are settings, not promises of musical quality.
Rule-based ideas are not AI. They add a fixed backbeat and hats, with a small fill in B. Nothing is inserted automatically. Save patterns downloads every draft, swing, subdivisions and inserted note copies; local audio is excluded.
All playback uses original synthetic drum sounds or your own local audio. First AI use downloads about 17.6 MB of runtime and model files from this site. AI then runs on your device. Patterns and recordings are not uploaded. There is no paid API, account or app telemetry. This experimental page is separate from the main Loop Lab release.
